What is Aesthetic Design?

Aesthetic Designs perform a visual function to the shape, pattern, configuration or ornamentation of an article. Aesthetic design features are judged solely by the eye and do not involve the function of an article.

What is Community Design?

A unitary industrial design right in Europe. It has both unregistered and registered forms. The unregistered Community design came into effect on March 2002 and the registered Community design was available from April 2003.

The unregistered community design provides short-term protection for items of short market duration. The registered community design provides substantial cost savings compared to obtaining national registrations in individual European countries
