Cape Town beat Dublin and Bilbao to be named World Design Capital for 2014.
In October 2011 at the International Design Alliance (IDA) Congress in Taipei, the World Design Capital for 2014 title was awarded to Cape Town.
This title will result in a year-long program of design events that will focus on social, economic and cultural transformation.
Cape Town‘s bid was based on its urban development plans.
Cape Town Mayor Patricia de Lille accepted the award on behalf of Cape Town.
In March 2011 a 465-page bid book was formally submitted to the International Council for Societies of Industrial Design (ICSID) in Canada, with the theme, “Live Design. Transform Life”.

WHAT ARE YOUR COST FOr OUR LOGO. I’ve ued our organizations logo on our baseball caps and i heard the owner of the company talking about copy right. How do i copy-rightour logo and what do i do if someone steals our log and copy-rights it before we do? where are you situated in cape town?
